Dyeable Muslin Fabrics

Muslin fabric originated in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and later on became popular when introduced to Europe in the 1600s. It is a lightweight, easily washable, and versatile fabric. It is also less expensive than silk or linen fabric. The muslin fabric is made of fine cotton yarns. The woven material stopped during British rule but became popular again in the 1990s.

Muslin comes in various weights, colors, and sizes. it is used in theatres, movies, or tv sets due to its flame-retardant quality. Although there can be much use for muslin, it is best used for set designers, crafters, photographers, and chefs. Muslin is also used in cooking, sewing and dressmaking, household uses, home decor, and home improvement.
